In order to better acquaint you with our club routine and how membership is handled, we offer you the following information. The Austin Shutterbug Club meets every month with the exception of December.  The Annual Christmas Awards Banquet is held in December and that is for members only.

We begin at 6:30pm with refreshments served by our members for a 30-minute social time that allows time to visit, share ideas, and greet members and guests. At 7:00pm the meeting begins with announcements and presentation of the evening’s special guest speaker and program. On alternating months, a competition is held in place of the program.

We also get together each month for an interesting field trip or some type of photography workshop. Once a year we have a photo scavenger hunt, which is really fun and challenging. The scavenger hunt generally takes place in a small community near Austin.

Guests are always welcome and our hope is that you will decide to join and become a member of our club. As a member, you are eligible for an informative monthly newsletter. You can enter competition and have your photography critiqued by experienced photographers, participate in field trips and have a vote when called for. If you decide to join, please see our Treasurer, Barbara Hunley.
